The Michael Litsky Angel Account

The Michael Litsky Angel Account was created by Michael's family and the Ice Lab Pro Shop to help support young recreational hockey players in our local community.

Michael Litsky passed away at 77 years old and dedicated much of his life to the sport of hockey. He coached recreational league hockey for many years, played the game he loved, and spent countless hours at the rink. Hockey was not just a hobby to Michael. It was part of who he was.

Whether he was coaching rec league players, skating in the adult BHL and Legends leagues, or spending time at the rink watching his grandson practice and play, Michael was always where he loved most: at the rink, surrounded by the hockey community and the people he cared about.

Known for his kindness, generosity, and passion for helping others, Michael always believed hockey should be accessible to everyone. He loved encouraging young players, sharing stories from his playing days, and helping people through both good moments and difficult ones.

"One parent recently shared a story about their son having a rough game and sitting in the locker room in tears afterward. Michael sat down with him for nearly 20 minutes, showing him old hockey photos, talking with him, and encouraging him not to give up. Moments like that are who Michael was."

Carrying on his spirit

This Angel Account was created to continue that spirit and help boys and girls who may be facing financial difficulties with hockey equipment and recreational hockey-related expenses.

Funds from the account will help young hockey players with equipment, skates, protective gear, and other hockey necessities so more kids can continue playing the game Michael loved so much.
